I rarely understand what the blipshift shirts are referencing. Usually it is some obscure motorsports team or race car of old, but today’s shirt is genuinely baffling.
Not only do I have no idea what that image is, but the description is even more confusing.
“When you arrive at the track to do battle, it’s nice to have of rear engined grip, a flat six ( and maybe some turbos), and over half a decade of motorsport backing. And while you might not be able to shield yourself from lesser bug comparisons, who cares? You can just pass them.”
Is this some Porsche specific thing? Should I know what this is and feel bad for not knowing? I can’t imagine wearing this shirt and having anyone understand either.

I just treat a lot of Blipshift like the cast of Seinfeld with cartoons in The New Yorker: laugh politely and make some comment about how poignant it is.
Srsly, no idea what this is.

I get puzzled looks when I wear my blipshift tshirts. I get smiles and laughs when I wear my darth vader tshirts.

It’s a centerlock wheel setup.
Fucking hate them when they came into my old work and I had to remove them. Usually torqued to some ungodly torque.

Ahh, makes sense I guess, but what an obscure image to put on a shirt

I would have never known it was Porsche without the description. I feel good about knowing it was a wheel lock nut.

The centerlock on the Porsche production cars is silly.
Slower to work with than a 5 lug because you need to use hand tools (no joke), very limited wheel availability (read: expensive), barely any lighter at all, and just a general pain in the butt.
Everyone I’ve spoken to who has them loves the way they look, but they have at least a few cons that they say outweigh the pros (which is really only looks).

Oh I thought it was a one way clutched alternator pulley.

It’s an indicator that you need a 10 foot cheater pipe to remove a wheel.
